I came across the below collage on my computer and I like it very much. I cannot recall who created this comparison of Jesse and Elvis photos so I am unable to give proper credit.
As I always say, we can never have too many of these matches.

The last image on the bottom row is, of course, Garth Brooks with the lyrics to his recording of the song “The Dance“. This song is my very favorite of the songs which Jesse himself recorded on the album “Elvis Found Alive“. I will include this song below by Garth Brooks and then by Jesse.
Look for the very significant words that Jesse changed in the version that he sang.
As you will see Jesse changed just a few words to the song to make it to be about him and his audience/fans. “…I’d ever say goodbye.”…” For a moment wasn’t I the king“
Below is the version of “The Dance” from the CD “Elvis Found Alive”

Born to an American myth and raised in the wilds of Graceland, Lisa Marie Presley was never truly understood . . . until now. Before her death in 2023, she’d been working on a raw, riveting, one-of-a-kind memoir for years, recording countless hours of breathtakingly vulnerable tape, which has finally been put on the page by her daughter, Riley Keough.
In 2022, Lisa Marie Presley asked her daughter to help finally finish her long-gestating memoir.
A month later, Lisa Marie was dead, and the world would never know her story in her own words, never know the passionate, joyful, caring, and complicated woman that Riley loved and grieved.
Riley got the tapes that her mother had recorded for the book, laid in her bed, and listened as Lisa Marie told story after story about smashing golf carts together in the yards of Graceland, about the unconditional love she felt from her father, about being upstairs, just the two of them. About getting dragged screaming out of the bathroom as she ran towards his body on the floor. About living in Los Angeles with her mother, getting sent to school after school, always kicked out, always in trouble. About her singular, lifelong relationship with Danny Keough, about being married to Michael Jackson, what they shared in common. About motherhood. About deep addiction. About ever-present grief. Riley knew she had to fulfill her mother’s wish to reveal these memories, incandescent and painful, to the world.
To make her mother known.
This extraordinary book is composed of both Lisa Marie’s and Riley’s voice, a mother and daughter communicating across the transom of death as they try to heal each other. Profoundly moving and deeply revealing, From Here to the Great Unknown is a book like no other—the last words of the only child of a true legend.

6-5-2024 – IN MEMORY OF OUR LITTLE CAYCE
Today has been a day of heartache and tears for us as we had to let our little dog Cayce leave our lives. He was 15 1/2 years old and had been in progressively bad health for some time. We loved him dearly and will miss him for the rest of our lives.

I have certainly learned this lesson the hard way over the past 15 years. The loss is theirs...

My good friend Chris McC shared this with me and I appreciate it so much. This is such an inspiring note written by Elvis to a friend. I don’t recall seeing this one before.
