Another act of vandalism…what is wrong with humanity these days?
‘Elvis’ has left the sign as vandals hit singer’s birthplace
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
JUNE 02, 2021 12:35 AM
TUPELO, MISS.
Elvis Presley’s birthplace in Mississippi is offering a $1,000 reward to figure out who took the word “Elvis” off the landmark’s sign.
The museum discovered the first name taken from the “Elvis Presley Birthplace, Museum & Chapel” sign over the weekend. The word “Elvis” had been written as the rock ’n’ roll pioneer’s signature.
The museum in Tupelo isn’t sure exactly when the brick sign was damaged.
The entire sign was stolen three months ago and had just recently been replaced, WTVA-TV reported.
The singer’s birthplace also survived a tornado moving nearby in early May.
The site includes the restored two-room house built by Presley’s family for $180. He was born there in January 1935.

Elvis Presley’s Life in Photos
From the time Elvis Presley entered the music industry in 1955, he was different from anyone else. Teenagers flocked to his charismatic performances and soon The King toppled the Billboard charts. He made a lasting impression on not only the music industry, but pop culture as a whole. Here, we’re taking a look back at the singer’s groundbreaking 20-year music career, as well as his tumultuous personal life.

I want to share that Jesse called me tonight and he is still doing pretty well all things considered. He is having some back pain which is causing him some trouble. He is still having the physical rehab therapy which involves using various exercise equipment…perhaps that is contributing to his back pain. Let’s keep Jesse in our prayers.
Jesse and I are both very interested that, as per a bill passed last year, the Pentagon must release documents by the end of June detailing the facts relating to UFO sightings. This material is to be released to Congress. Jesse and I hope that the information will be released to the public. We CAN handle the truth.
It has recently been reported on several news reports that UFOs have been seen by military personnel off the coast of Virginia in our protected airspace almost daily for the past two years. This is only one example of such events.
I am so thankful that Jesse and I did get to talk. Hearing his voice and knowing that he is alright is such a blessing.

Below are photos of a Christmas gift that Jesse gave to my husband, Tom, quite a few years ago. I remembered that I had not shared a photo of this gift on my website and thought perhaps my visitors would enjoy seeing these boots which were a gift to Elvis from Burgess Meredith during the filming of “Stay Away Joe“…as you may see on the attached copy of Jesse’s note.

The below certainly is not current news, however, my good friend SK sent the below photo to me and I love it so much that I want to share it. Hugs to SK who wrote to me about this Limited Edition Elvis Peanut Butter & Banana Creme Reese’s Cups that came out in 2007. I missed them entirely when they were available…wish they would put some more out now.

Below is an interview with Linda Thompson who appeared at the Tupelo Elvis Festival this past week.
Linda Thompson shares stories of the King of Rock and Roll at Elvis Fest
Linda Thompson was featured in a segment called “Conversations,” where she recounted some of her experiences as Elvis’ girlfriend with thousands of fans.
When Linda Thompson visited Tupelo the first time, there wasn’t a lot of fanfare.
“I had an uncle, Uncle Adrian, who lived here he was a pharmacist, and I came down to visit my cousins, years and years ago.”
Things have changed a lot since then. Thompson began dating Elvis in 1972. As she has said, she was Miss Tennessee Universe and Elvis was Elvis. Thompson says Elvis would tell her stories about his time growing up in Tupelo.
“He talked about Tupelo a lot, he told me about his little, shotgun house, and the church where he went to church with his family, I’m thrilled to be here, to see the house where he was born, and observe the mantle where he told me an interesting story about what happened on the mantle the day he and Jesse Garon were born.”
Thompson dated Elvis from 1972 through 1976, traveling with him on concert tours, vacations, and living life at Graceland. Less than a year after her relationship with Elvis ended, Thompson got a phone call from Lisa Marie.
“I said, ‘hello’ and she said, ‘Linda,’ I said, hey, she said, ‘It’s Lisa’ I said I know who this is, you little goobernickel, it was a pet name Elvis and I had for her, she said, ‘My Daddy’s dead, my Daddy’s dead.” I can’t tell you what I felt, I said, no he’s not, she said one thing that brought it to reality, she said, he’s smothered in the carpet, and when she said that, I threw the phone, I thought, ok, he’s gone, that’s it, nobody checked on him.”
Since that dark day in August 1977, Thompson has made a name for herself as an actress and a songwriter, getting a Grammy nomination in 1993. She says Elvis would be proud of her success and accomplishments.
“I think first of all he would be proud of me in how I’ve tried to conduct my life in a way that’s always respected him and his memory, that’s first and foremost to me, I’m a fan, as much as anybody else is a fan, he was the love of my life, I adored him.”
Thompson says Elvis would be amazed at the talented tribute artists, and the fans who come to the festivals year after year.
“I think he would be so flattered, and staggered by how incredibly generous everybody has been to his memory, he loved the ETAs, even when he was alive, he’d see people growing sideburns, he’d say, ‘Honey, look at that guy over there, I wonder if he thinks he’s me.’
Thompson said she enjoyed her time in Tupelo and plans to return to the city that paved the way to Memphis for Elvis Aron Presley.
Linda Thompson received a key to the city from Tupelo Mayor Jason Shelton.

Jesse called Wednesday afternoon and his voice sounded good and strong. Sadly, however, he has not been feeling well at all. He feels very tired and has been spending time lying down and resting. He said that he has been in and out of Drs. offices. Needless to say, I am very concerned about him but very thankful to get to speak with him.

I must apologize that I have not been adding new material to this site since last Friday. I have done a little repair work on my current main site which still has damages caused by problems with my original web site from which material was exported to this site. Little did I know that when that old site goes off-line, it damages this site causing much work to repair. Troubles never end…
Also, during a conversation with Jesse several weeks ago, he gave me the name of a man to look into regarding the current news about UFO’s and the Pentagon report soon to be handed over to the House of Representatives. I have watched a documentary film about this man and am in the process of reading two of his books. Also, Tom and I have watched a documentary which does firmly prove that there are alien spacecraft which have been visiting earth for many years.
When I have a little time, I will share the name of the man about whom Jesse told me; the title of the documentary film about him; the titles of his books; and the title of the recently released documentary proving the truth about the UFO sightings and encounters.
Jesse and I have always been very interested in this topic and are excited to see that we may be nearing a time when most people may see the truth for themselves.
I shall return…

Today is the anniversary of Elvis’ very last concert which was performed in Indianapolis. Below is a video of his arrival at the airport in that city for this show. This is one of my favorite videos of Elvis from that time because it shows him feeling well, looking good, laughing and joking…just being himself. I also love that it shows him wearing his DEA Staff outfit.
Good memories…

I have good news today!
Jesse called last night and we had the best time talking that we have in a long time. He sounded wonderful and was cheerful. He has been able to get out some recently. Last week he had Dr. appointments just about everyday and some days two a day. He is making preparations to go fishing at a lake and is looking forward to that. It certainly lifted my spirits to hear his voice sounding so good and strong and to feel his happy vibes.

Below is the Elvis News Report for this past month…
Elvis Presley News Report 2021: July. (Elvis Was No Racist: Proof!)
Premiered Jun 25, 2021
We all KNOW that Elvis certainly was NEVER a racist. I had a request from a very good friend that I write to Quincy Jones to prove to him that Elvis was NOT a racist. I declined doing so because I have tried to change the mind of ignorant people about all kinds of lies about Elvis…especially that he died in August, 1977. I am just growing old and tired and with bad hands and bad eyes, I just don’t feel up to many more futile battles. But, I KNOW for certain that Elvis was NEVER a racist and that the statement by Quincy Jones was stupid and ignorant and was arrogant on his part to even say this. I am so glad that Mr. Maier presented the below video.

Below is a very interesting article about a new streaming channel dedicated to Elvis. I thank my best friend MJ for sharing this article with me.
Elvis Presley Is Getting a Free Dedicated Streaming Channel Next Year
Todd Spangler
·2 min read
Streaming video is about to get all shook up — by the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
Elvis Presley, who died in 1977, will be the subject of a new, dedicated live-streaming channel through a deal between Cinedigm and Elvis Presley Enterprises.
The Elvis Presley Channel, expected to launch in early 2022, will include archival content and specials featuring the legendary artist, as well as music content from other influential artists. The streaming channel, to be available across multiple platforms in the U.S. and Canada, will be a free, ad-supported linear service.
“We are thrilled to partner with Cinedigm to launch the Elvis Presley Channel,” Marc Rosen, president of entertainment for Authentic Brands Group (ABG), owners of Elvis Presley Enterprises, said in a statement. “The Elvis fandom is incredibly passionate, and Cinedigm is best-in-class when it comes to serving fervent fan bases.”
On the 24-hour AVOD channel, Cinedigm plans to feature continual Elvis programming with exclusive specials and documentaries including “Singer Presents…Elvis” (a.k.a. “The ’68 Comeback Special”),” “Elvis Aloha from Hawaii Via Satellite” and “Elvis by the Presleys.” The Elvis Presley Channel will also give fans a chance to watch rare home footage from the Graceland Archives.
Additionally, Cinedigm plans to tap into the archives of legends such as Johnny Cash and Roy Orbison. The channel also will include specials highlighting cities like Memphis that helped shape rock ‘n’ roll, as well as other music documentaries.
Cinedigm plans to make the Elvis Presley Channel available across its network of distribution partners in the streaming space, including Samsung, Pluto TV, Roku, Hulu, Amazon and Fox Corp’s. Tubi.
The Elvis channel comes after Cinedigm has found traction with the last year’s launch of the Bob Ross Channel, which showcases the cult-favorite artist who hosted a long-running public TV series with more than 350 classic episodes.
“There are few individuals more iconic than Elvis Presley. He transcends time, genre and medium,” said Erick Opeka, president of Cinedigm Digital Networks. “The opportunity to build a branded channel around Elvis opens up streaming possibilities to an entirely new demographic in the fastest-growing segment of the ad-supported business.”
The deal was negotiated by Josh Thomashow, Cinedigm’s executive director of acquisitions, and Andrew O. Miller on behalf of ABG.
