Don Lane was an American-born talk show host and singer, best known for his TV career in Australia, including The Don Lane Show, which ran from 1975-1983. Here’s a high-quality recording of Don Lane live at Graceland in 1982. His guests include Billy Smith, Janelle McComb, Mary Jenkins, George Klein and Vester Presley. This program appears to have been shot just before Graceland opened to the public. You’ll see the Trophy Room, mid-renovation. The Kitchen is shown, years before it opened for tours. You’ll love the special access Lane was given. And, you’ll hear interviews and memories from some of those closest to Elvis.

Elvis wrote this letter in Las Vegas on the Hilton letterhead in December 1976. Any fan should feel so much sympathy for him and understand the deep need he had for getting out of that lifestyle. I will never understand how anyone who truly loves and cares about Elvis the man cannot feel joy knowing that he did find a way out and into a new private life on August 16, 1977. I am so thankful that he is still here with us to this day.
Wayne Newton bought the above letter at auction and turned it into the below beautifully recorded song.

Several of my very good friends have brought up the fact during our phone visits & emails that there are still a number of liars and frauds on Facebook, etc. who tell lies about me and Jesse. Also, there are others who are imposters on the Internet who have convinced people that they really are Elvis and correspond with these delusional people while pretending to be the real Elvis. This all just makes me sick.
Below is a letter that Jesse wrote for me to post on my Facebook page back at that time years ago and also on my website. He feels just as I do about those who are misleading people by pretending to be Elvis.
You can believe the liars, some of who have been at this despicable misrepresentation for years, or you can believe Elvis himself with whom my husband and I have been friends for almost 31 years. Jesse has told me that I have “more” (proof) than anyone else.

Just a word of news about Jesse. It is now 3:14 AM and Jesse just attempted to call me again. Once more his phone disconnected before we could speak. This is driving me to distraction. I miss speaking with him so very much. But, still, it gives me a smile to know that he is OK and is thinking of me. Sometimes he has restrictions on himself. Things like this have happened before and we always get back in touch eventually.
I have left the Messages to Jesse page open since I am delayed in being able to get my mail to him until our go-between is back home. Everyone is still welcome to continue posting messages until I do close it. Not sure when I will close it…perhaps a day or so after January 8th.

Another tidbit of news about Jesse. He did attempt once more to call us on Saturday night but his phone disconnected before we could speak again. I have spoken with our go-between and he is home now and doing pretty well. He is in the process of sending those packages on to Jesse which were at his home from my mailing before I knew he was in the hospital.
He has given me his blessing to return to sending mail to Jesse. Today I am working hard to get the news articles thru this point printed out to send to him tomorrow. I will also be printing out the messages which all of you posted to be sent to Jesse so they will go out tomorrow also.
I will resume posting on a limited basis when I see any news worthy of reporting and announcements when and if I am blessed to hear from Jesse again. As far as I know, his phone calls to me are still blocked. This makes me very sad and affects my enthusiasm for adding material to this website.

Tonight I was updating the letterhead on which I write to Jesse each week. I have used the same one since 2017 and so I decided to change the photo of Tom and myself to a different one. Below is the new photo which I chose. This was taken at Graceland in 1997.
I chose to add the following to the tops of my following pages as the above is only on the first page of my letters. I came across this image somewhere some time ago and just saved it because I like it. I have no idea to whom credit for creating this beautiful thought should be given and I am sorry for that.

I thought of something that I would like to add to go along with the above article regarding Elvis’ notes which he wrote during his stay at the Las Vegas Hilton in December 1976 upon which Wayne Newton based the lyrics to his song “The Letter“.
I published a page on my original website focusing on the letters Elvis wrote at that time. Here is the link to that page if you would care to learn a little more about that topic.
Also, I want to suggest that my visitors go back and again watch the above video of the interview with Wayne Newton. Please listen closely to what Wayne says about one of his final visits with Elvis which lasted about two hours and covered many thoughts. In retrospect, Wayne felt that Elvis was in some way speaking as if he knew his death was coming soon. I have paraphrased this as I haven’t gone back to watch it again and type it verbatim. I believe this was Elvis’ goodbye to Wayne just as he wrote his goodbye letter to his close friend Wanda June Hill early in August and held it to mail later in the month to time it so that she would receive it on, or near, the 16th. If I remember correctly, Wanda received it on the 15th.
As Jesse has said, they left so many clues.

Finally, we have some news about the Netflix animated Elvis series which has been very slow in releasing updates.
This may be wonderful and honor Elvis’ actual law enforcement work and service to our federal government…this is what I HOPE it will be. If it is disrespectful to Elvis in any manner, I will certainly withdraw my approval of it.

Agent King is an upcoming adult animated action-comedy series created by Priscilla Presley and John Eddie. The series is about the King himself, Elvis Presley. The announcement of the series pickup came at the end of “Elvis Week” and on the 42nd anniversary of Elvis’ death.
Priscilla Presley and John Eddie will executive produce with Authentic Brands Group’s Jamie Salter. Mike Arnold will serve as showrunner, writer, and executive producer. Fletcher Moules will serve as supervising director and co-executive producer. Marc Rosen and Corey Salter also will co-executive produce. In the series, Elvis trades in his white jumpsuit for a jet pack when he is covertly inducted into a secret government spy program to help battle the dark forces that threaten the country he loves — all while holding down his day job as the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.

My very good friend, Dennis Miller shared the below image with me about the Netflix upcoming animated Elvis series. I found all of the topic headers on this page very significant and interesting. I think my visitors will find this as intriguing as I do. Don’t forget all of the “45th birthday” statements made by Elvis’ ex-wife during the Candlelight vigil speech for August 16th, 2022. She has announced a speaking tour coming up in which she is going to tell “everything” and hold nothing back. She is the co-creator of this Netflix series (as shown above in my preceding article) which has been in the works for several years and is finally coming out in 2023.
