FRIDAY, JULY 3 2020

I wish everyone a very happy, safe and blessed July 4th holiday.  I have made it my own special 4th celebration for many years to play the below song by Elvis.  I would get out my 45 record and play it for years.  Now there are so many good versions on the Internet so that it is no longer the way I carry out my tradition.

It is my opinion that this song, played with Elvis singing it, should be our National Anthem.  Better not see anyone “taking a knee” to this!

I received a very precious gift and two letters in the mail yesterday from Jesse.  He told me when we spoke last week that he was going to send something to me which had belonged to his grandmother “Dodger”…something she had owned and worn for much of her life and was very special to her.

Below are several photos of “Dodger’s” ring along with the letter which Jesse wrote about it.  As you will read, he has such sweet memories of her and seeing her wearing this ring.  As you can imagine, I will treasure this precious gift and his touching letter about it for the rest of my days.  I feel so blessed and honored when he gives me such a special item and shares his memories about it with me.

A huge hug of thanks to my brother, Jesse.  Words cannot express my appreciation of him and all the things he has shared with me over all these years.  The most of which is his trust and close friendship with Tom and me.

Also, he wrote a private letter to me and I hope he won’t mind that I am sharing a copy of just one sentence from that letter.  His words mean the world to me and Tom…just as Jesse himself does.

I hope everyone will enjoy sharing in my happiness at receiving this mail from Jesse.

note:  Jesse sent the ring in a little plastic envelope.  I used this box to display it only to make the photos.

Below is Jesse’s letter to me about “Dodger’s” ring…such sweet memories.

This is the one sentence from Jesse’s private letter to me:

Jesse's note about his long survival atrributed to me and Tom 7-6-2020

His words of appreciation mean more to me and Tom than anything in the world…as does he himself.  We love Jesse so very much…he truly is our family.

During Presidents Trump’s 4th of July speech at Mount Rushmore, he included Elvis in his list of great Americans whose statues he would like included in his “National Garden of American Heroes”.  I am 100% for that!!!

Below are excerpts from a lengthy article about the President’s speech:

In his speech, Trump expanded on the personal histories of each of the presidents honored on Mount Rushmore, ending each passage with a promise that Americans will always remember these great men. He ended that portion of the speech by saying that anyone who objects to teaching this history “can not have love of America in their hearts.”

He went on to say he will sign a Presidential Order today creating the National Guard of American Heroes, a park in which monuments for great Americans will be placed. In his speech he included such noted persons as Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and Ella Fitzgerald.

Trump announced that he would create a “National Garden of American Heros,” which he described as a large outdoor park featuring statues of “the greatest Americans who ever lived.” He did not provide further details.

I am still working so hard to get my original website restored to my new location.  Been up until between 3 and 4:30 AM every night.  I had no idea that it would be such a laboriously slow and tedious process.

Most of the pages are missing current links, many images, etc.  It is taking me some time to locate the missing images in order to restore them…it seems that nothing is simple.  It has taken me several days to get just one page restored in some instances.

I am determined to accomplish this task before my days on earth end…  However, I am having to neglect some of my normal day to day work to get it accomplished.  I apologize for being absent on this site.

I am working through my original site in the order in which the pages appear in the menu.  So far, I have completed the pages through:

IN DEPTH VOICE ANALYSIS OF THE CD ELVIS FOUND ALIVE

This process is a refresher course for me as lots of this material I have not gone back over thoroughly since I created it way back in 2009 and on.

I hope everyone will visit my new website location to see the pages with all of the items displaying for a change.

I will continue to post some new updates on this site as things come up and my time allows.  I thank everyone for your understanding and patience.

I am also having to forego Emailing and Facebook messages most of the time.

FACEBOOK HAS CLOSED DOWN MY ELVIS/JESSE PRESLEY FAN PAGE. I AM LIVID!!!😭🤬🤐
Attached are copies of their notices. They do not have time to consider by objection because of Covid-19!

My thanks to the lying ignorant fool(s) who reported me to Facebook.🤬🤐

Facebook unpublished my Elvis Jesse Presley page

Facebook list of possible reasons for closing a page

Facebook won't accept my disagreement with their decision

I am very upset by this decision by Facebook and may close my Facebook account altogether.  I will have to give myself a little time to fully mull this situation over and then reach my decision.

IN MEMORY OF BENJAMIN STORM KEOUGH

OCT. 1992 – JULY, 2020

My heart is broken about the tragic loss of Jesse’s grandson Benjamin.  Words cannot begin to express the sympathy which I am feeling.  Below is a tribute to Ben in a song penned and performed by his mother, Lisa Marie.

Lisa Marie Presley – Storm & Grace (Lyrics)

As you may recall, Jesse was involved in the naming of Benjamin when he was born.  It was based upon numerology.  The first name was to be 8 letters and the middle name was to be 5 letters (the same as Elvis and Jesse).  Jesse suggested Storm because the child was born during a storm.  Jesse wrote that they thought of naming the baby Jesse but feared it would draw too much attention.  Jesse wrote to me that Benjamin was “the love of my life“.  He was so proud to finally have a boy in the family.

May God comfort Jesse, Lisa and all members of the family.

I have just gotten off the phone from speaking with my sweet brother Jesse.  He is heartbroken about the loss of Benjamin as I am sure everyone knows.  We talked for quite a while but it was a very quiet and subdued conversation.  As it was just our private expressions of sadness, I won’t publish any details.

I will say that Jesse said that calling me this afternoon is the very first time he has picked up the phone to call anyone since he learned about it.  He said that he almost called me at 4 AM one morning, but didn’t want to disturb us so he just went back to bed.  I reassured him that we are always here for him at any time of the day or night.

This has really hurt him so very badly…words could not adequately express the pain but hearing the sound in his voice conveyed the hurt.   Jesse said that he has got to get past this somehow.

He is very worried for Lisa and asked prayers for her.

We must all keep Jesse in our prayers.  He knows how much everyone cares about him.

I am continuing to work very hard on getting my original website moved to my new location and to get the pages restored as much as I possibly can.  It is a very slow and tedious process…but I keep on keepin’ on.  Thus I will continue to be away from this site more than usual.

I do want to share the below photo of “Grandma Dodger” with her sunglasses on indoors as Jesse mentioned in his above letter.  This is such a sweet photo.  My closest and longest friend M.J. shared the photo and I thank her very much.

Coronavirus alters Elvis Week

    •  Updated
elvis week for 0724
In this Aug. 15, 2019, file photo, a street art display honoring Elvis Presley is shown at a candlelight vigil at Graceland in Memphis, that commemorates his death. Plans for the weeklong celebration of rock ‘n’ roll icon Elvis Presley on the 43rd anniversary of his death have been shaken up by the new coronavirus, but organizers are forging ahead with a combination of in-person and online events at Graceland next month.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Plans for the weeklong celebration of rock ‘n’ roll icon Elvis Presley on the 43rd anniversary of his death have been shaken up by the new coronavirus, but organizers are forging ahead with a combination of in-person and online events at Graceland next month.

Fans will still be allowed to gather for an in-person vigil at Graceland to cap Elvis Week, scheduled this year for Aug. 8-16 in Memphis, Tennessee, where Presley lived. But they’ll have to make reservations ahead of time, stand 6 feet apart and follow other virus-related safety guidelines if they want to attend the vigil and walk past Presley’s grave.

Presley died on Aug, 16, 1977. Since then, devotees of the late singer and actor have flocked to Graceland, his former home-turned museum, to honor Presley on the anniversary of his death.

Besides the candlelight vigil, some in-person, prerecorded events will be offered during the week. But other potentially “high-risk” events — live performances, group parties, autograph signings and meet-and-greets — have been eliminated, Graceland said.

Instead, fans will be invited to participate in Elvis Week events in a closed Facebook group that requires a paid ticket to enter. Virtual events will include past Elvis Week concerts and panels, new interviews with bandmates and friends, and a look at previous candlelight vigils, Graceland said.

“As the COVID pandemic continues to evolve and health officials learn more about high-risk activities, we must evolve with them,” Graceland’s news release said. “There is no greater priority than the health and safety of our guests and employees.”

A full schedule of events for the week will be released later.
