My dear friend Dennis F. Miller sent me the flyer below for the movie “This Is Elvis“. I thank Dennis for doing this for me so very much.
This movie has always been my very favorite Elvis biographical movie…others don’t even come close. You see, Jesse once told me that he did not like the Dick Clark “Elvis” movie with Kurt Russell. When “This is Elvis” came out and I saw how good it was, I immediately thought that Elvis himself had a behind-the-scenes hand in the production. This was back in 1981…long before “Is Elvis alive?” became a popular topic.
Then many years later after Jesse told me that he did not like the Dick Clark movie, I concluded that this movie was perhaps a response to other Elvis movies which he did not like. I came to think of the title of this movie as “THIS Is Elvis!”…emphasizing that this movie is the truth.
For anyone who has missed seeing this movie, I heartedly suggest that you do so.
When one considers the people involved in the production of this movie, knowing what we do know for a fact now through Jesse’s handwritten letters for his book, it is straightforward to put 2 and 2 together to see how Jesse’s wishes would have been handed down from him to the production of “This Is Elvis“.
Please see Jesse’s handwritten statements below about the people in his life who were involved in the August 16, 1977 “death“. This letter was sent to Dr. Hinton during the writing of the book “The Truth About Elvis Aron Presley…In His Own Words“.
The below copies of Jesse’s letters are from my own copy of the rough draft of the book “The Truth About Elvis Aron Presley…In His Own Words“.

Below are the front and back of the flyer about the 1981 movie “This Is Elvis“.

Please note the integral role Col. Parker took in the production of the movie “THIS Is Elvis“.
Also, as I have mentioned earlier in my material, *Warner Brothers played an integral part in the Orion Pictures angle of post-1977 Elvis-related movies.
*Please see the brief video at the end of this article which proves the business association of Orion Pictures and Warner Brothers.

I feel that I should offer an explanation for my lack of postings about hearing from Jesse. I know all of my visitors love him and worry for him as I do.
I have been getting calls from our go-between who is still able to speak with Jesse. He has called almost weekly for the last while. From all he tells me, Jesse is holding his own but cannot telephone me because his new phone has very limited options for him to call out. I don’t know if or when he will be able to get these blocks removed enough for him to call me himself. I have not heard from the go-between this week. I am so sorry that this causes you to worry. I am trying to keep myself from sinking into dismay this time. This type of restriction upon him has happened so many times over the past 32 years.
Please rest assured that if and when I do hear from Jesse, I will post the news here the same day.
Love, light, and peace to all of you,![]()

Our go-between did phone me yesterday…Jesse is all right but still not making calls from his new phone.
After a week of decreasing the time wearing the walking boot for my broken foot by one hour a day, the doctor discontinued my use of the device. So far…so good. I will be back to the doctor for another visit next week. Phew!! This has been a very trying time.

Elvis Presley’s Top Secret Archives Building Is Graceland’s ‘Coolest Place’ for 1 Main Reason
Graceland was Elvis Presley‘s beloved home for 20 years. Today, it is still a Presley family home and a museum visited by over half a million people yearly. The mansion contains many areas not included within the main tour, including a top-secret archives building known as Graceland’s “coolest place.” Here’s why.
Angie Marchese’s deep dive into Elvis Presley’s life via the archives
What began as a summer job at 15 as a Graceland tour guide has become a life’s career for Angie Marchese. Now the VP of archives and exhibits at the Memphis home, Marchese is a point person for everything fans see within the home, including its extensive archives collection.
During the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Marchese began making YouTube videos from within Graceland so fans could remain connected to the historic home. The first “Inside the Archives” clip explains why the building is Graceland’s “coolest place.”
The archives building is unique for many reasons. Marchese claims it is supposed to withstand a tornado’s impact. She said, “Hopefully, we don’t have to test that theory.”
“It is the coolest place on the property. It actually stays at 68 degrees all year long.”
She concluded, “So in the winter, it’s pretty warm. And in the summer, it’s pretty cool here.”
The Graceland Archives contain thousands of priceless Elvis Presley artifacts
According to Graceland’s official website, only 10% of the Elvis Presley items in the Graceland Archives are on display. Subsequently, the collection consists of over 50,000 photographs, 3,000 textiles, thousands of documents, and an extensive collection of furniture, musical instruments, awards, automobiles, and other artifacts associated with the King of Rock and Roll.
“An important function of this department is the tracking of the collection, as well as the creation of a complete digital catalog of the Elvis Presley Archives at Graceland. It is also the job of the archives staff to preserve and conserve the artifacts in the mansion and all other exhibits here at the Graceland Mansion,” the site explains.
Fans can get up close to items in the archives during the Inside the Graceland Archives Ultimate VIP Tour. A limited number of tours are available each day.
Angie Marchese claims the archives hold 90,000 images alone of Elvis

During the video, Angie Marchese opened a file cabinet to show fans some of the items inside. She wore white gloves to touch the priceless artifacts.
She showed fans a promotional photo of Elvis from the film Jailhouse Rock. The image belonged to Elvis and Vernon, “so who knows how many times Elvis flipped through and took a look at these photos?”
Marchese randomly pulled a second photograph. It was a snap of Elvis from the film King Creole, which she said was “Elvis’ favorite movie” and shot on location in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Elvis Presley’s Graceland home is open for tours 363 days a year. The house is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Days.

Using Elvis Presley as an example, Starr concluded, “You know it’s interesting because the time we met Elvis, I really thought ‘How sad that he’s on his own’. He had all those people around but he was on his own.”

Elvis Presley Ascends The Charts—Again
CULVER CITY, CA – SEPTEMBER 1962: Rock and roll musician Elvis Presley strums an acoustic guitar … [+
Elvis Presley is one of those artists whose popularity never seems to diminish. No matter how many years go by, the superstar remains a favorite of millions, and the songs and albums he recorded during his lifetime continue to sell and stream well. There aren’t many names who can maintain that kind of success decades after their passing, but Presley isn’t the average musician–or even the everyday star.
For several years now, the consumption of Presley’s biggest hits has been keeping one of his compilations afloat. Sales and streams of many of his most popular tunes are reflected in the success of Elv1s: 30 #1 Hits on the charts.
Elv1s: 30 #1 Hits is up on two Billboard charts this week. The compilation is climbing as consumption of that title–as well as the dozens of tunes on its tracklist–is up. In the past tracking week, the beloved title moved another 8,483 equivalent units in the U.S. alone. That’s up 2.6% from the period before.
That uptick in streams and sales helps the collection rise on the Billboard 200, the main albums chart in America. This frame, Elv1s: 30 #1 Hits lifts from No. 184 to No. 176.
Over on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums ranking, Elv1s: 30 #1 Hits also experiences a surge, though one that’s not quite as impressive. On that genre-specific roster, Elv1s: 30 #1 Hits improves from No. 47 to No. 41, nearly cracking the top 40 once more.
Elv1s: 30 #1 Hits is still far from its peak on either of those two tallies, but the fact that it’s rising after so much time is laudable. The Presley collection once controlled the Billboard 200, adding to his list of many rulers on that tally. On the rock-only list, it’s topped out at No. 5.
As it soars on a pair of Billboard charts, Elv1s: 30 #1 Hits is also present on another ranking, though it doesn’t budge on that tally. Over on the Top Country Albums roster, the compilation is a non-mover at No. 33. It’s also spent time at No. 1 on that chart in the past.
