I love this photo because it is such a good clear close-up of Elvis’ DEA emblem. A very good friend of mine told me that he attended one of Priscilla Presley’s events a couple of months ago and someone in the audience asked her if Elvis was a government agent and she answered “Yes. He was.” To my knowledge, this is the first time that a family member has been asked that direct question and gotten a direct affirmative response.

I certainly did enjoy the below video so very much because of all of the wonderful letters I have been blessed with from Jesse over the past 32 years of our close friendship.
One can look at the handwriting in the letters shown in this video and compare them to my own personal letters from Elvis/Jesse and tell that they were all written by the same man. The same handwriting…plus the same kind, gentle, sweet spirit of the great man who wrote these letters plus those he wrote to me. Please take the time to watch, listen, and look closely at the letters.

I HAVE EXCITING NEWS THIS AFTERNOON!!!
While I was in the midst of preparing the above very special article, the phone rang and it was Jesse!!! Hallelujah!!! I cannot express in words how joyously happy hearing his voice made me. I have missed him so very, very much. As I have stated before, I do understand his situation…but I still worry and hurt when I don’t hear from him.
Neither he nor I were feeling really well today so it was not a very light-hearted visit. Jesse has bad neuropathy in his feet which affects his ability to stand and walk so he does use a wheelchair now. He and I have aged alongside each other and aging affects us all…it is no respecter of persons. I told Jesse that if I could, I would wiggle my nose and make him well and young again. He laughed at that.
I feel so very blessed that he could call me today.
Please do say prayers for Jesse and myself as we continue to age.

Below is a series of beautiful photos of Elvis which were sent to me at various times by one of my best friends Dennis F. Miller in which Elvis is wearing the same shirt. He certainly looked great in this shirt. If my memory serves me correctly, Wanda June Hill told me about this shirt. Elvis chose the material for the shirt and had Wanda June’s sister-in-law sew it for him. Seems that I recall some mention was made about this being a flowered shirt for a man. If one looks, it will be found that Elvis was seen many times in this shirt proving that it was definitely one of his favorites. He also had others that were similar to the pattern on this one.
Enjoy these very special photos as I have done.

I have some really good news to share this time. Jesse called this afternoon late and left a message on our answering machine. Tom and I were both outside and missed the call. I was so sad that we had missed his call when I finally noticed the blinker on the phone several hours later. Just getting his kind message made my day so much brighter even though we didn’t get to speak. He sounded well and that always makes me happy.

My dear friend Dennis F. Miller has sent me so many wonderful items over the years. I recently had occasion to go through his mail looking for an item for him. In doing so, I came across some things that I had not thought of in ages. Below is one of those items that I am not certain if I have displayed on my websites. The below excerpts are from one of Gail Giorgio’s books. As you will see, Gail included something which I wrote to her way.y.y.y.y back when. It seems so recent to me and yet it was long, long ago. An example of how very long, I have been eagerly involved in proving that Elvis is alive.

The VERY best part of Joe’s comments (below) is where he clearly says “...that’s how Elvis feels about this situation.” Jesse asked me much later on if I heard what Joe said on TV. I told him that I sure did!

Below is another good article from Texans Jack & Dodie about Elvis in the early days of his career in 1957.
When Elvis Ate Here: Little Shamrock, Cleveland, Texas
On Sept. 11, 1957, a black Cadillac pulled up to the Little Shamrock, a small café that was located on the south end of Cleveland, Texas where Highway 105 meets Washington Avenue (just northeast of the H-E-B FOODS-DRUGS store is now).
In the car was a band who were returning from a recording session at Radio Recorders in West Hollywood from September 5th through the 7th.
Singer Millie Kirkham had joined them for the first time during these sessions which would produce Elvis Presley’s famous Christmas album. Other songs by writers Jerry Lieber and Mike Stoller (who were in attendance) were included.
On a dare during one of the sessions, within 15 minutes, the famous songwriting duo wrote Santa Claus is Back in Town, now known as the great Christmas blues song from Elvis.
A few months before, Elvis suggested Scotty, Bill and he make an additional album while they were there. It was intended to be fun and help the two make extra money as it would be all instrumental with Elvis playing the piano accompanying Scotty’s guitar and Bill’s big bass. They would call themselves, “The Continentals.”
Even though Elvis had booked extra studio time and they rehearsed, manager Tom Parker “shut us down,” Scotty Moore explained years later.
Scotty and Bill considered this the last straw as they came to the realization that Colonel Parker was in control and it was Elvis, not them, that would have the wealthy share of their entertainment work results.
Elvis Presley and his pals had grabbed a train out of Hollywood on Monday evening, September 9, choosing to exit it on the morning of September 11 in Houston to take an automobile the rest of their way back to Memphis, Tennessee.
Elvis’ number-one gal, Anita Wood, was due back in town herself in a few days.
As they stopped for breakfast and gas at the “Little Shamrock Cafe,” Elvis was trying to be nice but he was somewhat bummed. Scotty and Bill had just submitted their resignations.
Aline Landrum was the waitress who served Elvis that morning. A woman named Dorothy Briscoe took two photos of Elvis; one outside and one inside the café dining in the Malarkey Room.
Mrs. Landrum, who passed away in 2019 at age 92 in Cleveland, had recalled that Elvis ordered a big breakfast consisting of two eggs, an order of bacon, double order of toast, coffee, pancakes, a piece of chocolate pie and a Pepsi Cola.

‘From Here to the Great Unknown’ tells Lisa Marie Presley’s story of life as the King of Rock and Roll’s only daughter.
Lisa Marie Presley’s memoir From Here to the Great Unknown begins with a tribute to her late father, Elvis Presley. In its opening paragraph, she claims the King of Rock and Roll was a “god” and pays tribute to him with a stunning series of statements about his amazing abilities.
Elvis Presley’s profound impact on his only daughter is clear
In the opening lines of her soon-to-be-published memoir From Here to the Great Unknown, Lisa Marie Presley speaks lovingly of her father, the late Elvis Presley. Her recollections set the tone for the book.
Lisa Marie writes, “I felt my father could change the weather. He was a god to me. A chosen human being.”
These recollections were documented in hours of recordings Lisa Marie made before her unexpected death in January 2023. These recordings are the crux of the book.
In late 2022, Lisa Marie asked Riley to help her finish her memoir. But that collaboration was never meant to be, as Lisa died of cardiac arrest on Jan. 12, 2023. After Lisa Marie’s death, her daughter, Riley Keough, finished writing the material.
Riley Keough will discuss Lisa Marie’s book with Oprah Winfrey from Graceland
CBS will present An Oprah Special: The Presleys–Elvis, Lisa Marie, and Riley. The reporter will speak to Riley in an intimate conversation about her life, her mother, Lisa Marie, and her famous family.
This sit-down will be Riley’s first in-depth interview since her mother died. She will share the writing process and stories and remembrances of her mother.
The one-hour special will also feature never-before-seen family photos, home videos, and Lisa Marie’s personal audio recordings, including memories of her father. Riley will speak on life in the Presley spotlight and share details of her relationship with Lisa Marie.
The interview takes place in Graceland’s living room, adjacent to the music room. When entering the historic home Elvis Presley called home for 20 years, the living room is to the right of the front door.
Oprah interviewed Lisa Marie many times
In a 2006 interview, Lisa Marie, Oprah Winfrey, and Gail King ventured inside Graceland for a private tour. Lisa Marie showed off each area, including Graceland’s secret room, which holds a treasure trove of items. Before Winfrey and King’s visit, these mementos had never been shown to the public.
Behind a door marked “employees only” lies a room that no Graceland guest can visit. The room was so secret that Oprah’s camera crew turned off their cameras until they were inside.
“This room is earthquake-proof, fireproof, and tornado-proof,” said Winfrey of the area where she, King, Presley, and Marchese donned white gloves to touch the artifacts. Following that tour, Winfrey, King, and Lisa Marie enjoyed a traditional Southern buffet that contained some of Elvis’ favorite foods, including his favorite Sunday meatloaf, macaroni and cheese, and fried chicken.
Lisa Marie was also a frequent guest on Oprah Winfrey’s daytime talk show. She shared details of her life and projects with Oprah, with whom she appeared to trust.
Lisa Marie’s book From Here to the Great Unknown is on sale the same day An Oprah Special: The Presleys–Elvis, Lisa Marie, and Riley broadcasts; Tuesday, Oct. 8 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+.

Jesse called this afternoon and we had more time to visit this time. I enjoyed getting to speak with him so very much. He sounded well and that made me so happy.
I will be getting my weekly package to him prepared tomorrow. We are having very heavy rains today and expect strong winds tomorrow because of the hurricane. I expect to send the package out Saturday morning as the forecast for the bad weather is for all day tomorrow.
My thoughts are with the people in Florida which are in the danger zone right now.
